Imizu City, facing Toyama Bay, is noted for its landing of a wide variety of fish including crabs and Japanese glass shrimps. At the Shinminato Fishing Port, you can watch the daytime auction of snow crab, which is a rare spectacle in Japan. From Kaiwomaru Park you can see the elegant tall ship Kaiwomaru and the magnificent Tateyama mountain range beyond the Shinminatoohashi Bridge, making the park one of the most beautiful spots in Toyama prefecture.
